Support Local & Tune In To 5 Interesting Podcasts By Local Creatives

By Sng Ler Jun

If you don’t already know, podcasts are making a comeback. They come in various lengths: some present themselves as 5-minute sound bites that present bite-sized news to digest between tasks, while others may marathon for hours for an immersive storytelling experience. Easily accessible with a smart device, podcasts are so convenient that you can tune in to your audio favourites anytime and anywhere.

When asked, listeners tune in to podcasts for a myriad of reasons. Some find themselves making use of podcasts to gather industry insights or keep up-to-date with news, while others tune in for entertainment or educational purposes. Given its eclectic nature and convenience, it’s safe to say that the medium is here to stay.

Ahead of Asia Podcast Festival, we have curated a list of podcasts, made by Singaporean content creators, for you to binge on.

Freelance Creative Exchange

The pandemic may have upended the lives of many, but it may not necessarily be the same for those working in the gig economy. Suitable for both aspiring and veteran freelancers alike, the Freelance Creative Exchange is Asia’s first podcast about freelancers by freelancers. The brainchild of media agency CreativesAtWork, the podcast episodes feature established freelancers and their experiences navigating about the gig economy.
